NFL Playoff Predictions

In the AFC: In the NFC:

#1. Indianapolis #1. New Orleans
#2. San Diego #2. Minnesota
#3 New England #3. Dallas
#4. Cincinnati #4. Arizona
#5. New York #5. Green Bay
#6. Baltimore #6. Philadelphia

Saturday Jan. 9th games are:

#5 New York at #4 Cincinnati and #6 Philadelphia at #3 Dallas

Sunday Jan. 10th games are:

#6 Baltimore at #3 New England and #5 Green Bay at #4 Arizona

In the Saturday games I believe the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles will win. My prediction is Cincinnati 20-13 over the Jets and Philadelphia 24-21 over the Cowboys

In the Sunday games I am going with the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. My prediction on these games are Arizona 34-31 over the Packers and the Patriots winning easily 28-10 over the Ravens.

That would set up this scenario for the next round of the Playoffs:

Saturday Jan. 16th:

#4 Cincinnati at #1 Indianapolis and #6 Philadelphia at #1 New Orleans

Sunday Jan. 17th:

#3 New England at # 2 San Diego and #4 Arizona at #2 Minnesota

First the Saturday games.... Cincinnati is having a great year and have been proving everyone wrong, but Indianapolis is very good when they actually try!(hopefully they realize this game means something) Indianapolis will win and so will the Saints. Indianapolis will have to shake off some cobwebs after resting players, but I see them winning 31-10 over the Bengals. The Saints have lost a couple games leading up to the playoffs, but in those games its not like the offense hasn't been doing good. Bree's still has put up great numbers. I'm going with the Saints 24-17 over the Eagles.

In the Sunday Games San Diego continues their dominance and beats up the Patriots for a 17-10 victory. The Minnesota Vikings were the favorite from the very beginning, but they also let it get to their heads. The Arizona Cardinals will come out on top 35-21 ending Brett Farve's career.... oh wait... I heard he is coming back!.... wait.... never mind he is reti..... this is getting old Brett.

So according to my predictions this would leave the following teams battling for a chance to go to the Super Bowl:

Sunday Jan.24th:

#2 San Diego at #1 Indianapolis and #4 Arizona at #1 New Orleans

In a bit of an upset(only because of seeding) the San Diego Chargers punch their ticket to Miami with a win against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts lack any type of run game and in the playoffs you can't rely on only the pass, or only the run. The Chargers have always played the Colts tough and have won the last two playoff games in Indianapolis. I also believe the New Orleans Saints will be joining the Chargers in Miami in a show down of Bree's vs. his old team. The Chargers walk away in a close battle 17-14 on a last second field goal by Nate Kaeding. The New Orleans have always found ways to get pumped up for big games this year and this one is no different. The Saints walk away with this one 45-21 over the Cardinals

So that Leaves The Chargers vs. The Saints in the Super Bowl.

Sunday Feb. 7th

#2 San Diego Chargers vs. #1 New Orleans Saints

This is the year LaDainian Tomlinson finally gets his Super Bowl Ring! Phillip Rivers joins Eli and Big Ben as young QB's who have a ring. The Chargers are hot right now and they are playing lights out. They have all parts of the game rolling for them. They can pass, run, play defense, and have great special teams play. They will just be too much for New Orleans to handle. San Diego 31-17 over the Saints.
